Amateur Radio (Ham Radio) is a technical hobby - but that does not mean that YOU have to be an engineer or have high level qualifications.

Ham Radio is probably one of the most inclusive hobbies and is a truly global activity. One of the great pleasures of communicating one-to-one is that you never know who you will end up talking to.

Radio Hams are:

of all ages from school children to very senior citizens
of all races and creeds
of all professions and non
of all abilities
from virtually every country and location on the planet (and even in space!)
and literally "from paupers to Kings".
